Home Safety

Home safety options may be one of the most important electrical services we offer at Minnesota Wiring Co. If you have questions about anything, we would love to be your point of contact.

Surge Protectors - Protect your home and family from the dangers of power surges with our surge protection service. Not only does it prevent fires, but it also protects your devices and appliances from damage caused by voltage spikes. At Minnesota Wiring Co, we use the latest technology and methods to ensure your home and electronic equipment stay safe.

Home Re-Wiring - Do you have a home with old or hazardous wiring? Do you have aluminum, knob and tube, or ungrounded wiring systems still in your home? Re-wiring will install an updated wiring system throughout your home. This ensures safety and brings your home up to the current electrical codes. If you have questions about this, please give us a call and we would be happy to discuss this further with you.

Smoke detectors and CO2 detectors - Manufactures recommended to change these every 10 years as there is a possibility of malfunction due to the censors not properly identifiying a hazard

AFCI - arc fault circuit interrupters - These have been a requirement in certain areas of your home since 1999. Arc faults are designed to protect your home against fires. It is required that an electrician adds them when wiring is installed in an AFCI area of your home. AFCI protection is also required when changing outlets.

Generator - Are there things in your home that could get damaged if the power is lost? If so, ask us about installing a generator in your home to give you peace of mind.

Security lighting - help keep your home safe with camera or motion sensor lighting.

Smart home technology - let us assist you in all of the latest upgrades in technology to customize your home. From smart outlets to thermostats and light switches, we can install them all.

Red Flags: sparking, arcing, flickering, burning smell, crackling noise. If any of these are found, please take proper precautions and call an electrician immediately.
